英国学校先发offer还是拒信？
这个问题很有趣，我正好经历过。 我的背景是，申请的时候拿到了4个offer和5个conditional offer（对，我就是这么牛），在1月31号上午10点半收到了曼大的offer，下午2点零6分收到伦敦大学学院的offer，晚上7点零8分收到爱丁堡大学的offer；而拒信呢，是2月2号收到的，来自华威。 所以我是先喜后忧嘛~ 但是！我要说的重点不是这个，我想告诉你的是，其实英国很多学校的拒信都是很正式并且很客气的，比如KCL的拒信是这样写的 “Dear XXX，Thank you for applying to King's College London. We are sorry to inform that your application has been unsuccessful this time around. We will keep your details on file and if any positions become available we may contact you. Best of luck with your future applications” 是不是觉得很客气？然后下面我来放一个比较恶心的学校——杜伦的拒信，真的是恶心到我了，简直不想贴出来，太丢人。。。
“Dear xxx， Thank you for your interest in Durham University*. Unfortunately after careful consideration of your application， we feel we can offer you only a limited number of places to those you have applied to be considered for entry into the year indicated above (i.e. these would not normally be offered until September). In line with our usual practice where possible we will try to offer applicants an alternative option so they may change their minds about coming to us. However， as this is a highly selective university， we are unable to make unconditional offers of place unless we feel we can provide you with the specific course(s) you wish to study at undergraduate level.” *注：这里指的是Durham University提供的pre-sessional english language课程 那么，有了这些拒信，是不是就宣告着留学申请结束了呢？并不是这样。我后来因为想申博又重新整理材料开始了新一轮的申请，虽然最终结果依旧是无果，但我很高兴能够有机会再战一次。所以啊，朋友们，千万不要因为收到了拒信就灰心丧气，也许换个申请目标，你就能成功上岸了哦～
